Features
From working draft
to published guide.
A documentation editor, a publishing workflow and a searchable reader. Everything stays in one workspace, with Free and Pro options.
Review and publish
A saved draft is not a publication. Check the page before making it available to your readers.
- Reader-based preview
- Preview uses the shared content renderer and reader styles to help you check page formatting before publication.
- Publish history
- Publishing records a revision. Browse previous revisions and restore an earlier page into a working draft.
- Versions with Pro
- Freeze published documentation under permanent version URLs. Readers can switch versions while keeping the same article when it exists.
Publish for your readers
Give people a clear route through your documentation, whether they arrive at the first page or a specific answer.
- Content search
- Find words inside published page content as well as titles. Search results include excerpts to help readers choose a page.
- Your domain and logo
- Publish on an included Pagevello URL or connect a custom domain on Free. Add your own logo; domain activation requires DNS verification and TLS.
- Light and dark modes
- Both reading modes are included on Free. Pro adds Editorial and Terminal themes and the option to remove Pagevello branding.
Maintain and improve with Pro
Additional tools for documentation that changes over time. Each workspace has its own plan.
Compare plans- Redirects and internal link checks
- Preserve old published paths when pages move. Audit internal page links and uploaded images; the checker does not test external websites.
- Search and feedback insights
- Review recent aggregate search activity and reader helpfulness feedback to find gaps in your published documentation.
- Access and review
- Restrict reader access and use the workspace owner/editor review workflow. Private-reader sign-in currently uses the Pagevello-hosted address.
- Optional AI writing assistance
- Review proposed prose changes before applying them. Writing assistance requires a configured model and does not automatically replace your document.
Give your documentation a home.
